Full Moon in Taurus 2026: The Astrology of What You're Gripping Too Tightly

The week opens with a Moon that arrives in the dead of night. The Full Moon in Taurus 2026 is exact at 12:12 a.m. on Monday, October 26th, which means for most of us it peaks in the last minutes of Sunday night. It falls at 2°46' Taurus, directly opposite the Scorpio Sun, and it forms a square to Pluto in Aquarius. This is the Hunter's Moon, and it is not a gentle one.
I want to walk you through the whole week, because the days around it are doing real work too.
The Week Opens: Venus Returns to Libra (Sunday, October 25)
At 5:09 a.m. on Sunday, retrograde Venus slips backward out of Scorpio and into Libra, where she'll stay through the end of her retrograde on November 13th. If the last three weeks in Scorpio felt like a descent into what you actually want and what you've been tolerating, this is Venus coming back up into the question of fairness: is what you give and what you receive actually balanced? Later that morning, at 11:14 a.m., the Sun quincunxes Neptune, a slightly foggy, hard-to-name aspect. Don't expect full clarity on Sunday. That comes with the Moon.
The Standout Transit: Full Moon in Taurus 2026 (Monday, October 26)
Taurus is the sign of the body, the senses, money, land, and everything you've decided is safe. Scorpio, across the sky, is the sign of what is shared, hidden, and transformed. A Full Moon in Taurus 2026 sets those two instincts against each other: what do I want to keep versus what is being asked of me to let die.
What gives this Full Moon its edge is Pluto. The Moon squares Pluto at 3° Aquarius, and at 8:11 a.m. that same morning the Sun also squares Pluto. So Pluto is pressing on both lights at once. That is a lot of pressure on whatever you are holding onto for security. It might be a financial pattern, a relationship you've kept for the comfort of it, or a belief about what you're allowed to want. Pluto doesn't ask politely. It asks what would happen if you stopped gripping.
This Full Moon also echoes the New Moon in Taurus back on May 16th. Whatever you set in motion then may be asking for an honest accounting now.
The Rest of the Week
Wednesday, October 28: The Sun quincunxes Uranus at 1:29 a.m., a restless, slightly jolting aspect, and at 3:35 a.m. Venus, still retrograde at 28° Libra, opposes Chiron at 28° Aries. That Venus-Chiron opposition is tender. It can touch an old wound around worth and being loved, and it usually asks for compassion rather than a fix.
Friday, October 30: At 1:20 p.m., retrograde Mercury at 18° Scorpio squares Mars at 18° Leo. Words can come out sharper than intended, so slow down on anything you send in writing.
Saturday, October 31: Halloween. Mercury forms a sesquiquadrate to Neptune in the morning, which adds to the sense that appearances aren't reliable. Clocks fall back overnight into Sunday.
How the Full Moon in Taurus 2026 Might Show Up in Your Body
Taurus traditionally governs the throat, neck, and jaw, and under a Pluto square those are the places that often tighten. You may notice a clenched jaw, a held breath, or a stubborn heaviness in your body that rest alone doesn't fix. That isn't random. It is often the body holding what the voice hasn't yet said.
Working With It This Week
You don't need to make a dramatic change. Try one simple practice: name one thing you've been holding onto out of fear rather than genuine want, and set it on the table. Then ask your body whether it feels like relief or loss when you imagine loosening your grip. Let that answer guide you.

May you loosen your grip on what is only holding you in place.
You make sense. Every single part of you makes sense.
